Asatu Lloyd: Caregiver.

Presently, I work as a caregiver for Genesa Home care & Companionship Agency.  As a caregiver, I love being there for my client and knowing I'm helping someone in need.  It's gratifying and very personal to me.  Prior to pursuing my career as a caregiver, it all started with my late mother.  In 2005, my mother was diagnosed with cancer.  A year later her condition quickly deteriorated.  Since, I was her only adult child around her daily care became my responsibility.  I attended all her doctor’s appointments, hospital stays, cooking, cleaning, feeding and administering her medication as prescribed - until her untimely death in 2007.  My goal is to obtain a degree in nursing, in the next few years.

I am a single mother of two beautiful kids, Adam and Sandy.  Adam is a disable child who was diagnosed with hydrocephalus since birth.  Adam is wheelchair bound, but that does not stop Adam from making me laugh all the time.  Sandy is my caring and compassionate child who always thinking about others at age 8.  I love my kids.  My kids are my pride and joy.

My hobbies:  Cooking, Cleaning, Reading and Singing.
